site then hopefully the instructions below will help. If after working
through the instructions you are still having trouble, please contact

Problems Registering?

must register before you can use all the site.
Don't worry, we won't be asking you lots of details, all we ask for
now is your name, your e-mail address and a few other details. All we
use this information for is to verify that when you leave a comment,
you are the person who is registered: it is our experience that genuine
comments tend to come from responsible people and we find that even
our quick and easy registration process helps keep out the non-genuine
- we hope you agree.

What are Cookies?
There was a rumour flying around a while ago that
certain software manufacturers could 'spy' on you by the insertion of
cookies onto your computer system. As a result a lot of people changed
their Internet browser settings to block cookies and, in doing so, severely
limited their accessibility.
Cookies are simply text files stored on your
computer which have information about your Username and Password. FairComment.com
uses this information - which you initially registered - to recognise
you when you come back to the site.
Everytime you use the same computer and log
onto FairComment.com, your Username and Password are remembered and
you can enter the site and leave comments without having to enter all
your details again - that is all they are used for: they are perfectly
safe and do not allow us to tamper with your machine in any way.
An additional security measure we have is that
if anyone attempts to change the contents of the FairComment cookie
on your computer, it will be deleted (it is read only) and you will
have to re-enter your Username and Password the next time.
