Doors have been slammed closed at Barclays
following fears that a former employee has attempted to blackmail
them for £25 million over the compromise of 8 million Barclaycard
accounts.
Barclays maintains that customers can still use their cards and
accounts in total confidence but are carrying out investigations
into the alleged blackmail to avoid leaks about its computer security
systems.
Another bank computer security compromise comes in a long line
of recent bank 'mishaps' and security breaches. How do you feel
about all this, are you happy to pass your confidential information
over 'supposedly' secure networks? Please let us know.
